Workzone W1.3.2 Report
Updated 12/14/2023

Summary

This is a small workzone adjacent to Lake Paterson stretching from the boat ramp as far as the bridge. The plan in to clear the invasive species from lake side, mainly located from the new fishing pier up to the fishing spot. In addition to the cattails and giant reed that block view of the lake from the trail, the area is home to canada thistle, purple loosestrife, teasel, burdock and reed canary grass. Clearing all these species to open up the view, and substituting with smaller prairie and wetland species will beautify the area for people hiking the trail. native species are few, but include common and swamp milkweed, orange jewelweed, and blue vervain.
