Summary

This one acre workzone comprises of a stand of white pines, under which little grows except honeysuckle and ash. Work clearing the honeysuckle began in 2018, with follow up work completed in 2022. Species of note include a patch of hazelnut growing under a single chinquapin oak near the trail. Teasel is present, but cutting it in summer is made more difficult by poison ivy. Contractor treated the teasel and goldenrod with transline in spring 2023. The non-native crab apples and cedars will be eventually thinned.
