Summary

This one acre workzone is the field adjacent to the F2 woods and consisted mostly of goldenrod and Queens Anne's lace, along with walnut, ash and honeylocust. A large willow tree dominates the south corner, although it suffered severe damage in 2023. Invasive species included cutleaf teasel, oriental bittersweet, reed canary grass, autumn olive and callery pear.

Priority is to eradicate the teasel and seed with a mix of prairie, while at the same time keeping the invasive shrubs and bittersweet at bay. Reed canary grass will be repeatedly sprayed, and the area seeded with sedges. Eventually the brush underneath the willow tree will be cleared.
