Workzone F2.2.1 Report
Updated 12/14/2023

Summary

This workzone is part of the original woodland, and is defined by the trails to the south and west, the wet depressions to east, and ephemeral pond to the north. Most of the woodland flora found at Oakhurst are present in this workzone, including the less common bloodroot and dutchman's breeches. Along the western edge we have buckhorn and honeysuckle, and a few white poplar trees. Buckthorn is more common in the wetter areas, where glossy buckthorn and barberry can also be found. The northern portion is heavily infested with bittersweet, which poses the biggest threat in the woods. Target is to have the larger shrubs cut by spring 2024.
